Anionic polyacrylamide is a water-soluble polymer synthesized with high degree of polymerization, which has valuable properties such as coagulation driving, thickening, forecutting, drag reduction and dispersion. Although the surface tension of anionic polyacrylamide to water decreases very little, there are active groups in the molecule, which can change the interface state after adsorption at the interface. Its amide group (- CONH2) can be compatible with many substances and form hydrogen bonds by adsorption. This can enable it to bridge between the adsorbed particles, connect several or even dozens of particles together, promote the aggregation of colloidal particles into large flocs, accelerate the sedimentation of particles in the suspension ball, accelerate the solution clarification, and promote filtration.
1. Industrial wastewater treatment. Especially for the sewage with neutral or alkaline PH value, relatively large suspended particles in water, high concentration and positive charge, such as the sewage treatment of iron and steel plants, electroplating plants, metallurgical plants and coal washing plants, the effect is very significant.
2. Drinking water treatment. This product has the advantages of low dosage of chemicals, low cost, and no secondary pollution when it is used to treat the water with high sediment content and turbidity.
3. Paper additive. It can act as long fiber paper dispersant, dry and wet strengthening agent, retention and drainage aid, and flocculant for paper water.
